The Crimson Sox are heading to the Dominican Republic for a pair of spring tune-ups in 2024.
Main League Baseball introduced on Wednesday that the Crimson Sox will play the Tampa Bay Rays on March 9 and 10 at Estadio Quisqueya in Santo Domingo.
This marks the primary time that the Crimson Sox have performed outdoors of North America since 2019, when Boston battled the Yankees in a two-game set in London. Again in 2008, the Crimson Sox opened their regular-season marketing campaign in Tokyo in opposition to the Oakland Athletics.
